How to add images to the photo slideshow

To add images to the photo slideshow, do the following.

Press on the "Add" button of the EXE Slideshow Maker 4dots's main screen and then select the images you want to add to the photo slideshow. You can also press on the "Add Folder" button to add the entire contents of specific folders.

You can also drag-and-drop images or folders with images to add them to the photo slideshow.

To remove an image from the list, select it and then press the "Remove" button. To clear all the images from the list press the "Clear" button.

How to import list of images

To import list of images press on the "Import List" button of the toolbar.

One image file path should be on each line of the list file.

How to reorder the images of the photo slideshow

To reorder the images of the photo slideshow, select them and then press on the "Move Up" and "Move Down" buttons of the toolbar.

You can also hold down the Control or Shift key and select them by clicking on them and then press on the "Move Up" and "Move Down" button.

How to specify Options for the photo slideshow

To specify options for the picture slideshow that EXE Slideshow Maker 4dots will create, press on the second tab called "Options".

There you can specify how long the slideshow will stay on each slide (Stay Duration) and the image transition effect duration (Effect Duration).

You can also specify the default image transition effect. Please note that you can also specify different image transition effects for each slide if you want.

EXE Slideshow Maker 4dots can also create slideshow with music. Press on the "Browse" button and select the audio background music file to create slideshow with music. Also, if you want to play the background music continuously and start it from the beginning when it finishes, check the "Loop" checkbox.

You can also specify the background music volume. Specify a volume percentage e.g. 50% or specify a value in decibels (dB) e.g. 10db.

Moreover, you can also specify the size mode for the images of the photo slideshow. You can specify that the images will be zoomed proportionally to fit the slideshow size (Zoom - default), or to insert them into the slideshow with their original sizes (As Is), or that they will be stretched to fit the screen size (Stretch).

Additionally, you can set the background color of the photo slideshow.

You can also create slideshow from photos and automatically rotate photos based on their EXIF metadata information so that they are displayed correctly (useful for smartphone images e.t.c.). Just check the "Rotate images based on Exif information" checkbox.

Also, you can extend the photo slideshow to its audio length. If the images slideshow takes less time than the audio and you want to insert the entire audio into the slideshow then check the "Extend Slideshow if Audio is longer".

Moreover, if you want to share your slideshow via email, then you will probably to zip it first. EXE Slideshow Maker 4dots will compress the generated slideshow executable into a zip file if you check the "ZIP Slideshow" checkbox.

Also, you can email the slideshow with EXE Slideshow Maker 4dots if you check the "Email Slideshow" checkbox.

Lastly, you can set the output folder for the photo slideshow and check "Overwrite" if you want to overwrite the existing slideshow file if it already exists.

How to specify options for each slide of the photo slideshow

You can also specify additional options for each slide of the photo slideshow.

Press on the first tab "Main" and then you can set the options for each slide.

To set a specific stay duration for a slide, check the "Duration" checkbox and set how long the image will stay on the photo slideshow in seconds.

To set a specific image transition effect for this slide (e.g., the first one), check the "Image Transition" checkbox and then select the image transition from the list.

To specify an audio file for the slide press on the "Audio" button of the slide.

Then press on the "Browse" button and select the audio file of the slide.

You can also delay playing the audio of the slide, check the "Delay" checkbox and specify how long to delay the playing of the audio file of the slide.

Afterward, press on the "OK" button to set the audio.

You can also do a right mouse-click on the slide and select from the context menu to open the image with the default image browser, explore the file in Windows Explorer or copy to the clipboard its file path.

How to edit the images of the photo slideshow

To edit the images of the photo slideshow press on the "Edit" button of each slide.

Then a new screen appear where you can edit the image. EXE Slideshow Maker 4dots has strong image editing capabilities.

You can then easily add text, add watermark, adjust colors, adjust brightness, contrast, gamma and apply numerous filters on it.

Additionally, EXE Slideshow Maker 4dots can remove red eye from image, replace color, apply blur, sharpen, emboss, median, mean, sepia, grayscale, negative, edge detection filters and also many other filters on it.

EXE Slideshow Maker 4dots can also rotate or flip image, add border, enlarge canvas, swap colors, add border and crop it.

EXE Slideshow Maker 4dots can apply the selected image editing actions on the selected slide or on all slides simulataenously by checking the checkbox "Apply to All slides". This means, you can save your time and apply the effect in one step for all slides you do not need to edit each slide separately.

Finally, press on the "OK" button to accept the changes.

How to narrate the photo slideshow

To narrate with EXE Slideshow Maker 4dots the photo slideshow, first, add the images of the photo slideshow and afterward press on the "Narrate" button.

Then in the new screen that shows up specify the "Recording Device ID" e.g., your microphone device id.

Also, specify the "Recording Filepath," i.e., the file path of the recording (wav file).

Press on the "Record" button to start recording.

You can then record the narration while you exactly see while narrating, the slide that corresponds to the narration and the point of photo slideshow.

Press on the "Stop" button to stop recording.

Afterward, you can press on the "Play" button to play and hear the recording.

Check the "Stop recording when slideshow time is reached" checkbox to stop recording when you have reached at the end of the slideshow or leave it unchecked if you want to continue to narrate even if you have reached the final slide.

Check the "Add Record as Audio to the First slide" to add the narration recording to the first slide or "Add Recording as Audio to currently selected slide" to add the narration recording as audio to the currently selected slide that of the main screen.

Finally, press on the "OK" button.

Final step to generate to create picture slideshow with music

Finally, press on the "Create Slideshow" button and wait for the application to do its job.

In the end the output folder will open in Windows Explorer with the picture slideshow file being selected.

How to use the generated slideshow standalone executable

If you have specified to create a slideshow with image transition effects that you can stop the animation and move across the still images with the arrow keys if you press the escape key once.

If you press the escape key twice, then the slideshow will close and exit.

If you press the space key once while you have stopped the image transition effects, the animation will start again.

How to change user interface language

When the application is first started it asks you for your desired user interface language.

You can also change the user interface language from the "Language" menu.
