To add videos to the list press on the "Add Video" button and then select the videos that you want to add.
Alternatively, you can drag and drop video files on the list to add them.
You can also add videos by entering a list of their file paths by selecting "Enter List of Videos" from the "File" menu.
To add the whole contents of folders with videos to the list press on the "Add Folder" button and then select the folder.
Alternatively, you can drag and drop the folder on the list to add it.
You can also import videos from text files containing lists of video file paths or folders.
To do that select "Import from Text File" from the "File" menu.
One video file path per lines.
For example :
c:\videos\video1.mp4
c:\videos\video2.mp4
c:\videos\video3.mp4
You can also import videos from CSV files containing lists of video file paths and the video thumbnail parameters.
To do that select "Import from CSV File" from the "File" menu.
The format of the CSV file should be : Video Filepath, Thumbnail Details, Extra Thumbnail Details

You can also import videos from Excel files containing lists of video file paths and the video thumbnail parameters.
To do that select "Import from Excel File" from the "File" menu.
The format of the Excel file should be : Video Filepath - Thumbnail Details - Extra Thumbnail Details
Please note that you have to set the Format of the Thumbnail Source Column to "Text"

To set the video thumbnail image , add the video to the list and then press it's "Set Thumbnail" button on the list.
Then you can specify to set video thumbnail based on custom image, video thumbnail from time position or video thumbnail from time position based on duration percentage.
To set a custom image, select the "Image" option and then press on the "Browse" button to specify the image.
To set a thumbnail automatically from time position select the "Image from Time Position" option.
Then you can specify the hours,minutes,seconds and milliseconds of the time position.
Alternatively, you can slide the track bar to select the time position.
To set a thumbnail from time position based on duration percentage select the "Image from Duration Percentage" option.
Afterwards, select from the option list a duration percentage or enter your own.
Finally, press on the "OK" button.
Similarly, to before but check the "Apply to all Videos" checkbox on the lower left side of the window and then press on the "OK" button.
You can also specify to keep creation date and keep last modification date and also copy exif information from the input videos.
To do that check the corresponding menu items on the "Options" menu.
To specify output filename options select "Options" from the "Options" menu.
Video Thumbnail Creator can also be executed from the command line.
Therefore, it can be included in scripts and batch files.

The application will use the default settings but you can force to change some parameters of it.
file : one or more audio files to be processed.
directory : one or more directories containing files to be processed.
fromimage : use an image for the thumbnail.
fromtime : use a thumbnail from a time position of the video e.g. 00:00:15.
fromduration: use a thumbnail from a duration percentage of the video e.g. 50%.
reversetime : reverse time position value for /fromtime parameter.
keepcreationdate : keep creation date of source video.
keeplastmodified : keep last modified date of source video.
copyexif : copy exif information from source video.
outputfolder : output folder.

To extract thumbnail images, select "Extract Thumbnail Images" from the "Tools" menu.
Alternatively, you can press on the "Set Thumbnail" button of a video and then press on the "Save Thumbnail Image" to save the current thumbnail image.
Finally, after you have add the videos to the list and set the thumbnail options press on the "CREATE THUMBNAILS" button of the toolbar and wait for the application to do its job.
When the application is first started it asks you for your desired user interface language.
You can also change the user interface language from the "Language" menu.
